A. Description of Responsibilities / Key Achievements

Responsibilities

  • Office of University-Industry Cooperation
    • Industry-Academia Operations Team: Establishing and managing external cooperation networks, personnel management, non-tenure faculty oversight, contract administration, foundation website and vehicle management, employment support programs for persons with disabilities
    • Finance & Accounting Team: Budget planning and execution, operational income and expenditures, tax affairs, indirect cost calculation and management, research and academic promotion programs, accounting for research institutes, revenue-based facility contracts
  • Office of Research Support
    • Research Management Team: Research fund rules, centralized purchasing, student labor cost and research facility expense management, fund disbursement, statistical analysis, research fund management systems operation
    • Research Agreements Team: R&D project agreements, domestic and international researcher affairs, issuance of certificates
    • Research Infrastructure Projects Team: Infrastructure project application, agreement execution and settlement, HR services, management of rules and guidelines
    • Research Support Team: Execution and settlement of direct costs for R&D projects, collection of indirect costs
    • R&D Planning Team: Strategy for large-scale government-funded projects, proposal writing, industry-academia-research collaborative projects support
  • Audit Office of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation
    • Audit Team: Research fund and internal audit regulations, special audits, report management, research fund recovery, education on research fund audits and research ethics, operation of Stakeholder Research Participation Review Committee, management of notice board and website
  • Technology Business Center
    • Intellectual Property Team: Management of patents, invention disclosures, technology commercialization, lab tour programs, IP strategy and BM design
    • Business Commercialization Team: Technology transfers, online/offline marketing, BRIDE 3.0 program, international marketing, regional collaboration, programs like ‘Happy Hour’ and ‘JBNU ETLA’
  • Entrepreneurship Education Center
    • Entrepreneurship Education Team: Student startup support, idea competitions, Startup Day, regional credit exchange programs, Korea-Vietnam University Star program
  • Field Practice Support Center
    • Field Practice Support Team: Industry-academia cooperative field practice, recruitment briefings, essay contests, on-site inspections, connecting students with industry job opportunities

    • Industry-Academic Operations Team: Mentoring programs, staff competency training, foundation performance sharing events, MOUs with LS Mtron, LIG Nex1, Korean American Chamber of Commerce (LA), Defense Acquisition Program Administration, Korean Intellectual Property Office, Korea Institute of Patent Information
    • Financial Accounting Team: Transparent budget disclosure, research facility inspections, reinvestment of indirect costs, contribution to university operations, rational indirect cost calculation
  • Research Support Office
    • Research Management Team: Next-generation research fund management system, simplified administrative processes, revised regulations, research security education, integrated student salary management
    • Research Agreement / Research Support Teams: Continuous R&D project application support, private-funded research services, research fund execution support, expenditure report preparation, project participation certificates
    • Research Infrastructure Project Team: BK21 Phase 4 Project, Semiconductor-Focused University Program, Jeonbuk RICE Intelligent Innovation Research Center Project, Software-Centered University Project
    • R&D Planning Team: Promotion of large-scale projects (Campus Innovation Park), customized R&D information dissemination, annual R&D budget analysis, acquisition of large-scale projects (KRW 37B & 60.2B), establishment of regional-industry-academia-research networks, support for Glocal 30 Project, organization of R&D program briefings
  • Audit Office
    • Audit Team: Internal training for ethical research, research ethics education for leaders and graduate students, anti-corruption and integrity training for staff
  • Technology Business Center
    • Intellectual Property Team: 250 patent applications and 118 registrations (2023), 368 applications and 114 registrations (2024), S-Level and A-Level patent statistics, lab tour program for technology commercialization, Promising Technology Discovery Strategy with 10 joint R&D and 11 interdisciplinary projects
    • Business Commercialization Team: Technology transfer results (2023–2024), large-scale transfers, BRIDE 3.0, international marketing, regional collaboration, programs to promote technology commercialization
  • Entrepreneurship Education Center
    • Entrepreneurship Education Team: Support for >20 student startup teams annually, idea competitions and camps, Startup Day events, regional entrepreneurship credit programs, Korea-Vietnam University Star program
  • Field Practice Support Center
    • Field Practice Support Team: Managed 303 student placements in 2024, industry connection, recruitment briefings, essay contests, on-site inspections
